LAWTON PRINTING Incorporated
Our company was founded by Frank H. Lawton and Frank A. Lawton, father and son, in January 1940. Still independently owned, Gary and Ray, sons of co-founder Frank A., now serve as Chairmen of the Board for File EZ and Lawton Printing, respectively. Both companies are under the leadership of Laura Lawton-Forsyth as President. Laura represents one of the family's 4th generation employed by the corporations. The company is pursuing a course of growth that focuses on meeting client needs, while building an organization that will provide the employees and owners a secure future in the graphic communications field.
Over the years Lawton has diversified into four separate but interrelated divisions. The Commercial Printing plant services the various needs of clients over a broad geographic region ranging from Western Montana to the Cascade Mountains. Lawton Publications grew out of the commercial printing division and now produces Chamber of Commerce directories and maps yearly for over 100 Chambers nationwide. The third division is our Index Tab division. Tabs for code books, legal documents, Bibles are sold via direct mail and the web. This division has over 25,000 customers across the nation and the ability to do customized work also. Our newest division is Innovaging which produces resource guides for seniors and their caregivers. These directories are being published for communities in the Washington, Idaho and Arizona markets. Lawton also has a sister company, File-Ez Folder which produces over 32 million folders and up to 15 varieties for the back to school and office supply industries.
This diversification enables Lawton to be a leader in providing value added services such as database management, warehousing, fulfillment and mailing, which sets us apart from our competition. A recent addition to our services is our partnership with the Direct Marketing Alliance, allowing our clients to have access to creative marketing tactics utilizing various mediums (direct mail, personalized URL’s, email blasts, etc.) to drive the clients response rate on a program. Lawton has also become Forest Stewardship Council certified by the SmartWood program of the Rainforest Alliance, enabling our clients to show their commitment to sustainability.
Lawton is actively involved with local, regional and national trade associations. For over 20 years we have been directly involved on the national level with Printing Industries of America. Laura Lawton-Forsyth currently serves as chair of Pacific Printing and Imaging Association board and is an officer on the Printing Industries of America board of directors. This involvement has a significant benefit to our clients due to the ability to network with printers across the country, keeping us on the leading edge of the most current information within the industry. This information enables us to continually adapt to the changing needs of our customers.
As we look to the future, we see partnering with more organizations whose personalities and goals are compatible with ours. We know from years of experience that we excel at adapting our services to meet the specific needs of each individual client relationship.
