Guides/Directories
Directories:
Chamber directories provide space for information about the organization, its
leadership, program of work and committees, plus directory listings.
We offer various listing combinations in the directories we produce for
chambers. This published listing information is based on the individual
preference of each chamber. The listing considerations are:
- Membership Roster - an alphabetical listing of all members by
business name and with pertinent company information.
- Business Directory - a comprehensive listing of all members
by business category.
- Whos Who a complete alphabetical list of all chamber
representatives by individual member name, along with their company
affiliation and pertinent information.
Guide:
A guide is a full-color publication focused on the economic and cultural life
of the area. The editorial information, along with full color photographs, present a
community image to attract visitors, newcomers, and/or new
businesses.
Combo Publications:
This publication format was developed by Lawton Publications to provide our chamber

partners with a membership directory and a community guide using one sales
campaign. The directory/community guide is published as one product and can be used
by chamber members as a business-to-business tool. An overprint of the four-color
editorial section can be used as a Visitor Guide, Newcomers' Guide, Relocation
Resource Guide, or just merely a Community Guide.
Online:
The directory and guide, including member advertisements, is placed on the
Internet at no additional cost to the chamber or the advertisers. The directory
module is a database searchable by company, category, representative
name, or phone number.
Other Features Include:
- Links to member websites
- Mapquest finder/locator map for each member
- Link to display advertisement
- Automatic update of membership data directory from organization's database.
Street Maps
Folded Street Maps:
Lawton provides official street maps for cities and counties showing
points of interest, schools districts, and block numbers. We provide
up-to-date cartography in a four color format that is easy to read and
user friendly. We have several different sizes.
The size is determined by chamber preference and coverage area.
Atlas Street Maps:
Lawton has two sizes available in atlas street maps. We offer the same
components in the atlas map as featured in the folded map.
The advantages of this format are that it is easy to use and
store in your car, briefcase or purse. It also provides
opportunities for advertisers to showcase their business on a page close
to their location on the map.
Tear-off Padded Maps:
Using the cartography from a folded or atlas map, we can provide a
cropped map on single sheets in pads. These can be easily
distributed on an as-needed one-time, quick-use basis.
On-line:
Lawton will place the city portion of the map cartography on the Internet
in an interactive format. Location identifiers for the points of interest and the
advertisers' locations will be included. Advertisers are listed
in the advertiser index, linked to their map advertisement and to their
website, if applicable. This is done at no additional cost to the
advertisers or the chamber.
Other Services
Membership Plaques:
We can design and print a membership plaque with the same graphic
design as the cover of your directory or guide.
Fulfillment and Mailing:
We will shrink wrap, insert a letter or other documents, label, and mail your
directory to your members. This eliminates work for the chamber
staff and will expedite your publication to your members.
How the Process Works
Our expert business development team works with the chamber to develop the
objectives of the publication(s) and ascertain the most suitable format to
accomplish the goals and objectives of your marketing needs. A production
schedule is established to provide a complete timeline for the project
from the pre-sales marketing to the delivery of the publication to the chamber.
This schedule of events is established, reviewed and mutually accepted prior
to starting the project. Lawtons editorial department and design team will
edit, design, and layout the publication with the approval of the chamber.
A carefully selected professional account executive(s) will be assigned to your
project. This sales team will work out of your office to sell advertising to
the chamber membership in a face-to-face prescheduled meeting. The account
executives act as ambassadors for your organization during the time they are
working at your organization. As a dues paying member of the chamber, Lawton
representatives attend all networking events and functions as an active volunteer
for your organization.
General repsonsiblities Lawton assumes for the turn-key project are:
- Lawton is responsible for selling the advertising that sponsors the
publication
- Lawton invoices the advertisers, collects the monies, and pays a
royalty to the chamber
- Lawton designs the advertisements for the members and sends a proof
for members approval
- When the publication is completed, Lawton sends every advertiser a
tear sheet and a letter thanking them for their business.
We offer or provide:
- a royalty to the chamber based on a percentage of advertising sales
or predetermined guaranteed amount, which ever is larger;
- the number of publications the chamber needs - for free;
- a writer to work with the chamber on the editorial if the chamber
does not have a staff person or a volunteer to handle this task;
- mailing services for distribution of the publication to your membership; and
- put your publication and your membership listings on the
Internet for free and we will
maintain it on a regular basis with the changes you
provide to membership listings for no additional cost.
